Tartine and Sequins

by Becca on April 24, 2011

Last week, Eli and I took a trip to the Mission to celebrate her spring break with breakfast pastries and vintage shopping. I had my very first Tartine experience. For those of you unfamiliar with Tartine, suffice it to say it’s the most amazing bakery I’ve ever eaten at. If you get a chance to go, you should have the morning bun. I’m drooling just thinking about it!

[Dress: H&M | Jacket: Vince | Belt: Unknown | Tights: Target | Shoes: French Sole]

After breakfast we got down to business and headed to Mission Thrift. I needed a prom dress. Gosh, that sounds a lot stranger when I type it out. You see, I’m going to a giant prom themed party and I needed a dress. Does that sounds less weird? Apparently Mission Thrift is where sequined dresses from the 80′s go to die – there were tons of them! I got what I believe will be the perfect dress (with a little hemming). If it comes out well you can expect to see the dress soon! Maybe a little before and after post is in order!

P.S. you still have time to enter our birthday giveaway. See here for all the details!

Soooo, this is the jacket you’re going to let me borrow when I let you borrow that H&M cotton sweater you liked, right? Right.

Prom themed party? How have you not mentioned this before? I think a before and after is definitely in order! Are you going to crimp your hair? That could be one of the new hair styles you try out…just saying.

Pastries and vintage shopping is the best combination ever! :-) You asked about my camera: I use a Canon EOS 550d and I’m very happy with it!
