I think we’re in the midst of San Francisco’s summer. I’m told the weather won’t last. But, boy am I enjoying it while it’s here. I spent the weekend running around the city in little dresses, soaking up all the sunshine I could get. Saturday found me at a blogger happy hour and then dancing the night away at a prom-themed party. Sunday, I recouped with rooftop mimosas, maple bacon donuts (sidenote: YUM!), and tons of girl talk! I even managed to get a tan (and a little sunburn and terrible tank top tan lines, but we’ll ignore those for now).

The last time I wore this dress was for our very first day of outfit photos! Isn’t that wild? I’m not sure why this dress doesn’t get more play in my closet or on the blog. It’s great! The only downside is that I like it styled very simply and it doesn’t lend itself to restyling easily. I like it with a belt, and a couple of bracelets. That’s really all it needs. Is there something I’m missing here, would you style it differently?

I love the colour of that dress, if I were to style it differently I might.. hmmm maybe add a cardigan and belt it in with it… and maybe a long necklace. I love how you styled it though

I love the way you’ve styled it – I think you’re totally right about it not needing much, and putting the denim jacket over top is just perfect!

I like this dress and I think such a rich colour makes you look lovely too
I love how you styled the dress with the denim jacket and belt. The cherry red is such a great color on you. I know, we are SO spoiled by this ridic weather. Always reinforces why I moved out here!
xx, becs
Did you say “sunburn”? Does that mean you won’t spray paint me when I arrive in SF? Sweeet. I wasn’t really looking forward to that much.
Some things are best left simple, and I can see this skirt being one of them. Sometimes simply swapping out shoes can really change the vibe of a look for me. This dress would look cute with a fun printed pair!
Love the neckline on this! You should try it with a long blazer instead of a denim jacket maybe for a more dressed up look.
Great dress!! Such a beautiful color on you!! And I love it with the jean jacket – I might wear a blazer with it or maybe some rain boots and a trench

Hi Becca!
Sooo incredibly jealous of all the warm weather you’re getting! I’m in Toronto and today’s high is 7 degrees and rainy
I love your vibrant red dress – it’s definitely a showstopper!
You may have already heard but if not I wanted to let you know about the blogger Pretty Shiny Sparkly who’s running a project called Bloggers Do It Better – where each week she posts a theme and you create your best interpretation (this week it’s “white-out” and there’s still time to link up!). Her movement has already caught the attention of H&M!
Thank you for stopping by my blog – it would be great if Red Nose Day started something up on this side of the pond – such a great idea!

oh i ve been loooking for a dress like this the color and style are really lovely!
What a gorgeous dress Becca! I think keeping it simple is the best and less is always more! I would dress it up with a white jacket and some tan wedges! Blogger Happy Hour sounds really good by the way!
P.S. Your comment about blogging is spot on! Sometimes I feel so drained but then I remind myself why I love it in the first place. xxoxoxoo

You look so pretty here! This dress is so beautiful on you. Enjoy this warmth, I’m scared it wont last either!
Hey! This weather has been crazy! I actually got a sunburn over the weekend and it took me a good few hours to realize it because I have been so deprived of the sun lol. I love when it is hot in SF people go crazy. Such a cute dress, live it up for the next few days it will disappear quick!

Margot
Becca, this is definitely my kind of look! I hope you are enjoying SF and congrats on your new job too.
Sorry for the double post – I’m not sure what happened?
That color looks so super amazing on you!! I LOVE the way you styled the dress. Perfect.
Gorg!!! And, you have some really neat streets for photos
Not that I don’t like Banana, but I’m surprised. Good job, Banana! Do we get to see photos from this prom party any time soon? I certainly hope so.
I love that dress! Red is definitely one of your colors. A cute sundress and a denim jacket is my favorite spring outfit. There’s something so effortless chic about it.

I adore this look. Fabulous red dress.
